Façades & Shopfronts

Glass is traditionally used in façades and shopfronts to maximise light penetration, entice customers and display products.

Typically, glass façades include double glazed units (IGU) with some thermal and solar properties. IGUs may be incorporated into traditional stick curtain walling, unitised systems, windows and structural bolted glazing. The doors within façades and glass shop fronts can also be glazed as well.

Extra clear low-iron and anti-reflective glasses are useful for shopfront installations and when substantial glass elevations use thicker glass. The clearer and more natural colour available from low iron glass enable a more transparent view through a shop front to the products inside.

Glass can be decorated with logos, slogans and other patterns by printing on the glass.
